On July 12, Colleen Kaye Muller, an educator from Chandler, AZ, passed away at the age of 75. Colleen was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Her memorial service will be held on August 10 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Mesa, AZ.

Life and Career of Colleen Kaye Muller

Colleen was born in Wahoo, NE, on January 28, 1949, to Rodger and Genevieve McKlem. She graduated from Wahoo High School in 1967 and went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of NE.

Colleen’s career in education spanned over three decades, from 1971 to 2004, in both Nebraska and Arizona. Her dedication to her students and passion for teaching touched the lives of many.

The Legacy of Colleen Kaye Muller

Colleen was much more than an educator; she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In 1980, she married her husband of 43 years, Lyle Muller, at Ithaca United Methodist Church in Ithaca, NE. They relocated to Mesa, AZ, in 1983.

On January 8, 1987, Colleen and Lyle welcomed their daughter, Anna Kathryne “Katie” Muller. Colleen cherished her family above all and enjoyed reading, sewing, and quilting in her free time. She particularly enjoyed making quilts for her daughter and granddaughters.

Colleen was an active member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church for over 35 years. She sang in the choir and participated in various committees and responsibilities.

Memorial Service for Colleen Kaye Muller

The memorial service for Colleen Kaye Muller will be held on August 10 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Mesa, AZ, at 10:00 a.m. Memorials have been established in her honor at the church.
